 Diaa Ahmed Mohamed Ahmedien is a lecturer in sciences of New-Media Arts and Technology. He is an artist, educator, researcher, and creator to set up systems of artworks. His accurate specialization lies in the area of the intersection of Visual Arts, New-Media studies, Digital Humanities, and communications, at which the interactions among art, sciences and technology produce a new culture that reshapes contemporary societies.

Diaa graduated magna cum laude with a PhD (Dr Phil) in sciences of visual arts and New-Media arts from the University of Bern and the University of Applied Sciences Bern, Switzerland in 2017. He received his BA in Culture & Art, and his MA in Media-Arts from the faculty of Art Education, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt. 

Through his research and cutting-edge experimental artistic projects, Diaa seeks Achieving Academic-Leading Advancement in Sciences of Visual Arts by fostering the interdisciplinary knowledge derived from the artistic practice-based research and explore its dual functions of being a means of integrating the public into complicated scientific inquiries and as an approach to enrich the visual and visible interface of the contemporary sciences.


I do?

Deliver Lectures in a wide spectrum of topics regarding sciences of visual arts and New-Media Arts, besides, designing visual arts curriculums, seminars, and workshops for undergraduate and post graduate students in the academic artistic institutions.

Conduct interdisciplinary theoretical and empirical research in the field of Sciences of visual arts and New-Media arts. participate in several interdisciplinary research teams of scientists and artists in order to execute cutting-edge experiments in New-Media arts' labs.

Create and set up interactive systems, interactive environments, and a wide range of interactive artworks, in which audience can interact with the artwork's systems in order to learn, generate, exchange, and transfer knowledge.
